I place heavy emphasis on teaching as an interactive process that seeks to help students understand the underpinning theory and evidence used to guide clinical practice through connecting of physiology, anatomy, pathology, and pharmacology to the correlated clinical findings. I believe that enabling students to learn how to use resources, to think as doctors by helping them to structure their thought process and to remain open-minded in how they approach problems, through social constructivist pedagogy, is key.

I also help to medical applicants in honing their interview skills and how they can prepare for medical school if successful, by helping them again to structure their desires and ambitions into a wider context of working within a community and finding specific goals they want to achieve in their degree.

I am flexible with lesson modalities, and can offer phone advice, zoom calls for online teaching, and meeting in-person for both single students and heading tutoring groups. Lesson length can range based on student preference but typically run for about an hour. I am also flexible with pricing and am happy to discuss different rates based on the modality and number of students.

Qualifications

I am a doctor working at Concord Hospital, having graduated from Western Sydney University with excellent skills and comprehensive experience providing tutoring services for younger medical students through the university and prospective students privately. I graduated from JRAHS with a 99.85 ATAR in 2020 and within the top 5th percentile overall and for all UCAT categories and received multiple offers including from WSU, UON, Monash, ANU, UQ, UWA, UoA, and Griffith. I then graduated with Distinction for both my preclinical degree Bachelor of Clinical Science and my Doctor of Medicine at WSU, and headed the Radiological Interest Group Society as Vice-President. I have achieved consistent proficiency in exams both clinical and written, with a 6.0 GPA in both preclinical years (prior to WSU no longer releasing it). I have a passion for teaching and supporting other medical students through their degree, as well as helping to coach medical school applicants through the interview process, which I have channeled into tutorials offered through the school, volunteering as a tutor, and offering advice.
