ANU Tutor | Economics, Finance & Maths | CFA Level I–III
Canberra tutor in Algebra, Calculus, Economics, Finance, Further Maths, General Maths, Geometry, Maths, Maths Methods, Maths Specialist, Statistics
Hi, I’m Zephyr, a tutor based in Canberra. I am currently a Casual Sessional Academic at the Australian National University, where I have over 1.5 years of experience teaching first-year Microeconomics and Macroeconomics to more than 300 students. I graduated with a Master of Applied Economics (Distinction) from ANU and consistently received excellent student feedback, with SELT scores above 90%.
In addition to economics, I have a strong background in finance and mathematics. I passed all three levels of the CFA Program on my first attempt and achieved Distinction or High Distinction in all university-level mathematics courses. I am confident teaching university-level subjects as well as lower-level content.
I am known for explaining complex concepts in a clear and intuitive way. My teaching style focuses on building strong foundations, logical thinking, and exam confidence. I tailor each lesson to the student’s level and learning goals, and I am patient, structured, and highly student-focused. My availability is very flexible, and I’m always happy to discuss your learning needs—feel free to reach out anytime?

Experience
I currently tutor first-year Microeconomics and Macroeconomics at the Australian National University and have over 1.5 years of teaching experience. I’ve taught more than 300 students across 11 weekly tutorial classes, and I consistently receive very positive feedback, with student evaluation scores above 90%.
In my tutorials, I focus on making economics clear and approachable. I usually start with a short summary to help students see the big picture, then work through questions together step by step. Many students tell me this method helps them finally “click” with difficult concepts and feel more confident in exams and assignments. My goal is to make sure students truly understand the material, not just memorise it.
