Melbourne tutor in Accounting, Economics, English, English Language, English Literature, Legal Studies

Hi! I’m Jeffrey, a recent graduate of Caulfield Grammar School and achieved an ATAR of 98.40, now studying a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Melbourne, and hopefully one day plan on going to law school (fingers crossed). Having recently completed VCE myself, I understand how tough overwhelming it can feel sometimes - not because students don't know content or lack knowledge, but because they often are unclear what to prioritise and the best techniques for how to prepare effectively and score highly. My goal is to help students feel confident, and as prepared as they'll ever be to score highly.

I'm really passionate about law and commerce, and love talking about anything to do accounting/finance, the legal system and the global economy. This is why I love tutoring commerce subjects, because for me, it feels like sharing my passion with other like minded people.

?? For VCE Legal studies, Accounting and Economics, I provide:
- In depth and intensive 60-90 minute classes via zoom
- Detailed notes for each area of study, which helped me rank highly in a very competitive cohort
- Templates and pre-written answers to the commonly asked exam questions, that score full marks from VCAA assessors
- A plethora of practice SACs and Exams
- A tool of common mistakes and things to look out for during assessments
- Past SAC's and and exam sample responses from high scoring students
- Tips and tricks for how to approach each examination and SAC
- Unlimited marking for SACs and Exams, as well as answers to any question you might have

Normal English never quite clicked for me, but English Language did. Once I understood that Englang is less about “just writing” and more about patterns, structure, and precision, it became something I could approach almost like a science. That perspective now shapes how I view this subject - breaking the subject down into clear structures that examiners and tutors have taught me to use in order to score highly in SACs and exams. (especially for the analytical commentary and essay)

? For VCE English Language, I provide:
- In depth and intensive 60-90 minute classes via zoom
- metalanguage bank with definitions and examples for everything on the current study design
- notes for each area of study, with examples on how to incorporate them in writing (Formality, informality, identity...)
- Sample structures for writing high scoring analytical commentaries and essays provided to me by VCAA assessors and teachers, in order to score highly on SACs and the end of year exam
- Sample high scoring ACs and Essays
- A HUGE collection of texts to practice SAQ and AC writing
- Constantly updated media examples which can be used for section C (essay)
- Examiner pet peeves and areas where students often lose out on marks
- Unlimited marking for SACs and Exams, as well as answers to any question you might have

I tailor my tutoring to suit all ability levels - whether you’re still building foundational understanding or aiming to push into the top study score ranges, I am confident we can work together to achieve your goals!

Look forward to hearing from you!
Jeffrey :)
