Hey! I’m Angelyn, a Malaysian who’s been surrounded by different languages since childhood, and I’m proud to say I’ve mastered Mandarin, Malay, and English. I’m outgoing, love music, and enjoy connecting with children and teenagers, helping them build confidence while making learning fun and meaningful.

I love talking, getting to know my students, and creating a fun, supportive environment where they feel comfortable learning and asking questions. I also have experience as a behavioural therapist, which helps me understand different learning styles and support students in building confidence.

Working with young people and teenagers is my favourite part of tutoring, whether it’s through languages, music, or exam preparation. I always aim to make lessons engaging, encouraging, and enjoyable.

I am a Malaysian tutor with experience teaching Mandarin, Malay, PTE, and Piano, and I am particularly skilled in supporting students with special educational needs (SEN).

With formal training in Psychology and ongoing postgraduate studies in Counselling and Psychotherapy, I am attentive to students’ emotional regulation, attention, motivation, and individual learning differences. I adapt lesson pace, structure, and teaching methods to support learners with needs such as attention difficulties, anxiety, learning differences, or developmental delays.

For Mandarin, I achieved SPM Form 5 Grade A and have experience teaching international students at university level, focusing on practical communication and confidence in real-life usage.

For Malay, I am a native speaker (SPM Form 5 Grade B) and use the language naturally in daily life. My spoken Malay is often recognised as strong even by native Malay speakers, and I focus on conversational fluency and clarity.

For PTE (Pearson Test of English), I offer structured, results-oriented coaching, with clear strategies for all components and an emphasis on understanding scoring criteria to maximise performance.

For Piano, I have 19 years of learning and practice experience and ABRSM Grade 8. I teach both piano and keyboard, incorporating structured fundamentals while keeping lessons engaging and flexible for different learning needs.

My teaching approach prioritises patience, structure, and encouragement, helping students build confidence, independence, and enjoyment in learning.

Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology, currently pursuing a Master’s in Counselling and Psychotherapy
