Practical Korean for Everyday Use
Sydney tutor in Korean
G'day mates! I’m a friendly and patient Korean tutor who enjoys helping students build confidence in learning Korean step by step. If you want clear explanations and practical, everyday Korean, I'm here for you!
? Teaching Experience & Background
During university, I volunteered in a home-visit childcare program, supporting children with learning activities and daily routines. I have also taught Hangul (Korean reading and writing) to my nieces, helping them build a strong foundation through patient and structured guidance.
In addition, my professional background has strengthened my communication skills and ability to explain complex ideas clearly — skills that translate well to tutoring adult learners.
? Why I Enjoy Tutoring Korean
First of all, I'm proud of speaking Korean. Korean is amazing language due to its scientific and easy-to-learn Hangul alphabet, unique logical grammar (like no noun genders or verb changes for singular/plural).
Korean isn't related to major language families like Romance or Germanic, offering a truly different linguistic experience. And I love seeing students gain confidence and start using the language in real-life situations. Learning a new language can feel overwhelming at first, and I find it rewarding to make the process feel approachable and encouraging.
? Teaching Approach
In the first lesson, we start with a relaxed conversation to understand:
your current Korean level, your learning goals, and
how you would like to study Korean (conversation-focused, structured grammar, travel Korean, etc.).
Based on this, we decide on a lesson style and pace that works best for you.
A typical lesson may include:
Warm-up conversation or review
Introduction of new vocabulary or grammar
Guided practice and speaking exercises
Practical examples for daily use
If you’re looking for a supportive, flexible, and beginner-friendly Korean tutor, I’d love to help you on your learning journey. ?

Experience
I have experience teaching Korean in supportive, one-on-one learning environments.
During university, I volunteered in a home-visit childcare program, where I supported children with learning activities and daily routines. I have also taught Hangul (Korean reading and writing) to my nieces, helping them build strong foundational skills through patient and clear explanations.
These experiences have strengthened my ability to explain concepts step by step, adapt to different learning styles, and create a comfortable learning atmosphere. I am confident that these skills translate well to teaching adult learners, especially beginners who want structured, easy-to-follow Korean lessons.
