I am an experienced educator with a background across secondary schools, alternative education settings, university enabling programs and teacher education. I have taught English, Humanities, ESL, Italian, French, and academic and study skills in a range of contexts.
My tutoring focuses on literacy, writing, assessment comprehension and study skills, with particular strength in supporting students who feel overwhelmed or disengaged by mainstream schooling. I help learners understand what is being asked of them and develop practical strategies to demonstrate their learning with confidence.
I also bring strong experience in curriculum and assessment design, allowing me to support families with clear, realistic learning approaches aligned to curriculum expectations where needed.
With experience as a home-educating parent, I also understand learning beyond institutional settings and work flexibly with families seeking low-stress, thoughtful support.

Experience
I am an experienced educator with a background spanning secondary schooling, alternative education settings, university enabling programs, and teacher education. I have worked with learners across a wide range of ages, abilities and educational contexts, including students who have struggled to engage with mainstream schooling.
My tutoring approach is grounded in strong curriculum knowledge, explicit literacy and assessment support, and an understanding of learning as a social and relational process. I support students to build confidence, develop practical learning strategies, and better understand the language and expectations of schooling.
Alongside my work with students, I bring extensive experience in curriculum design, assessment and academic writing, as well as lived experience as a home-educating parent. This allows me to work closely with families to support learning in ways that are realistic, responsive and aligned with curriculum requirements where needed.
I can teach many subjects, but my focus is always on teaching learners as individuals.
