Hi! I’m Alex, a 2025 North Sydney Boys High School graduate with a 99+ ATAR, achieving multiple Band 6 results across a wide range of subjects, including Mathematics Extension 1 & 2, English Advanced, Economics, Legal Studies, and IPT.

I have a genuine passion for teaching and enjoy helping students at all stages of their education — from primary school through to secondary and early tertiary studies — build confidence alongside strong academic results. Having recently completed the HSC at a high level, I also have a strong and up-to-date understanding of school syllabuses, assessment standards, and what high-performing responses require.

My approach to tutoring is highly personalised. I recognise that every student learns differently, and I adapt my teaching style, pacing, and resources to suit each student’s level, subject, and goals:

- For students needing foundational support, I focus on strengthening core skills, rebuilding confidence, and developing clear, structured methods to support steady improvement.

- For students performing at an average level, I emphasise application, problem-solving strategies, and assessment techniques to help lift performance and consistency.

- For high-achieving students, I provide more challenging material, extension-level thinking, and refined techniques to help push towards top results in school and university settings.

Across all levels, I place a strong emphasis on conceptual understanding, structured thinking, and effective study habits. Through my own years of high-level study, I’ve developed practical shortcuts, problem-solving strategies, and exam techniques that I pass on to help students work more efficiently and confidently.

I offer a personalised tutoring approach tailored to each student’s individual needs, helping them to understand concepts deeply rather than just memorising methods. I focus on maximising understanding, improving exam technique, and efficiently targeting key areas for improvement. My students also benefit from my curated collection of practice questions and exam resources, as well as ongoing support outside lessons to help them succeed. Through this approach, I’ve helped students significantly improve their performance.
