Nice to meet you! I graduated in 2025 and am completing my undergraduate degree in Biomedicine, a field I’m truly passionate about! I have a strong love for all STEM subjects and, just as importantly, for teaching and helping others succeed.

As an energetic extrovert, I bring high enthusiasm into every lesson and always create a supportive, judgement-free learning environment. I genuinely care about my students and will always prioritise you, your goals, your strengths, and your learning style. Whether you learn best through visual explanations, discussion, or structured notes, I adapt my teaching to suit you.

I aim to minimise the struggle of learning new concepts and turn confusion into clarity. My lessons are engaging, clear, and designed to help you actually enjoy the subject while building real understanding and confidence. I love creating diagrams (Venn diagrams, labelled drawings, compare-and-contrast), PowerPoints, Word documents, and flashcards to break down complex ideas and make them easier to remember.

I’m committed to helping you not just improve your results, but also feel confident and capable in your learning. I can’t wait to work with you and support you on your academic journey!

Past student reviews:
I have been tutored by Alice Xu for the past year, and have seen not only my results improve, but also my confidence develop. She is kind, patient and conscientious, creating her own summary documents that have helped me at times more than my own class teacher. She worked tirelessly to support me in my IA, and was always available to answer my questions. Because of Alice, I started looking forward to Bio lessons at school, so that I could tell her what I'd learnt, and looking forward to our tutoring sessions, because she was so welcoming to any question, even ones that weren't specifically test based and just out of curiosity!

I have Alice Xu as my IB Chemistry tutor as it was my weakest subject and it has been an amazing experience so far. She is very knowledgeable, patient, and the sweetest which has made me actually look forward to our lessons and to learn chemistry. She has helped me so much in only a short period of time but she’s made me feel so much more confident and helped me understand topics I have struggled with in an easy way.
