I have 5 years of tutoring experience, helping almost 20 students gain entry into Medicine and Dentistry, and supporting many other students to pass key papers required for selection into their preferred healthcare professional courses.

I specialise in the Health Science First Year papers CHEM191 and PHSI191, helping students aiming for Medicine and Dentistry achieve top results. Learning isn’t just memorising, these subjects require abstract conceptual understanding, pattern recognition, and critical thinking, which I help students develop to build a strong foundation for exams which are skills that will be applied in all other University papers.

Qualifications

I have also helped high school students achieve NZQA Scholarships (top 2% in NZ) and Level 3 Excellence endorsements. My teaching is aimed towards students of any level, as long as they have the drive and ambition to achieve high academic goals.

I completed Health Science First Year (HSFY) in 2022 with a 96.8% average, with my best papers being in Physics, Chemistry and Statistics. I achieved this entirely self-taught, without tutoring. Through years of trial and error, I developed a tutoring style focused on conceptual understanding, efficient study strategies, and exam-level thinking, the support I wish I had as a first-year university student. My academic achievements include University Leaders of Tomorrow scholarship, NZQA Scholarships in Biology, Calculus, and Physics, and a Silver Award in the NZ Chemistry Olympiad.
