Hi, I’m a primary school teacher with ten years of classroom experience across K–6, specialising in Years 5 and 6. I’m passionate about helping students feel capable and confident in their learning.
I’m known for being very patient and supportive with students who are finding things difficult. I take the time to explain and visually represent concepts in different ways until they click, and I focus on building confidence as well as skills. At the same time, I’m experienced in extending students who are ready for more challenge, helping them think deeply and move ahead in their learning.
Whether a student needs support to catch up, build strong foundations, or stretch themselves further, I aim to make tutoring clear, engaging, and encouraging.

Experience
Hi, I’m a primary school teacher with ten years of classroom experience. I enjoy helping students build confidence and understanding in their learning, whether that’s catching up, getting ahead, or working through tricky concepts. I’m looking forward to tutoring you and supporting whatever your learning needs may be.
Qualifications
I have ten years of full-time experience as a primary school teacher in the NSW Department of Education, teaching across K–6 classrooms. During that time I planned and delivered daily lessons across all key learning areas, assessed student progress, and wrote detailed reports for families. My work required strong communication skills, organisation, and the ability to adapt instruction to meet a wide range of learning needs.
I have extensive experience differentiating lessons for students with diverse needs, including EAL/D learners, students with learning disabilities, and gifted students. I regularly worked one-on-one or in small groups to provide targeted support in literacy and numeracy, helping students build confidence as well as academic skills. I am very comfortable breaking complex concepts down into clear, manageable steps and adjusting explanations based on how a student learns best.
In addition to classroom teaching, I have been involved in several whole-school initiatives focused on student wellbeing and engagement. These roles required collaboration with colleagues, clear communication with parents, and careful planning and organisation.
My teaching background has given me strong skills in explaining concepts clearly, building rapport with young people, and creating structured learning environments where students feel supported and motivated. I am reliable, organised, and patient, and I enjoy helping students develop both understanding and confidence in their learning.
