Hi, I'm a friendly and patient tutor based in Melbourne, currently studying Bachelor of Nutrition Science at Monash University. I'm available to support students from primary school through to middle high school, depending on their needs.

I recently completed my secondary education and achieved strong results in my IGCSE exams, including Cambridge International Mathematics (A), Chemistry (A), Economics (A), and First Language Chinese (A). These subjects helped me develop a deep understanding of how to break down complex problems and explain them clearly — skills I now use to help my students.

I have experience tutoring IGCSE Chemistry to younger students at my school, where I supported them with exam preparation and tricky topics. I really enjoy helping others learn because I like finding my own ways to solve problems and then sharing those methods with students who might be struggling. Seeing someone finally understand something they found hard is the best part of tutoring for me.

Beyond academics, I've also developed strong communication and organisational skills through my work experience at the Entry-Exit Administration Archive Centre in Foshan, China, where I assisted with document management in a professional environment. I've also taken part in volunteering activities in the autism children's healing center, which has taught me to be more patient, responsible, and adaptable when working with different people.

I offer tutoring in a range of subjects, including Chemistry (IGCSE and secondary level), Mathematics (Cambridge International Mathematics, primary and middle school maths), general Science for primary and middle school, as well as Mandarin Chinese and Cantonese for beginners or conversational learners. I'm flexible and happy to help across multiple subjects depending on what each student needs.

My approach to tutoring is student-centred and flexible. I take the time to understand each student's strengths, weaknesses, and learning style, and I focus on building their confidence by breaking down difficult topics into smaller, manageable steps. I encourage questions and create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable saying, "I don't get this yet." My goal is not just to help them pass tests, but to help them truly understand and even enjoy the subject.

I structure each lesson based on the student's individual needs. Before the lesson, I ask them to message me about the topics or questions they're struggling with, so I can prepare materials and examples in advance. A typical lesson might include a quick review of previous work, going through homework questions, explaining new concepts with simple examples, working through practice questions together, and summarising key points to focus on next time. I'm happy to provide extra worksheets or use materials from the student's school textbook, and I always follow the student's pace — no pressure, no judgment.

I'm available for tutoring on weekday afternoons and weekends. I offer lessons online via Zoom or Google Meet, or in-person at my home in Melbourne — other locations may be possible, so feel free to ask. The best way to reach me is via phone, and I usually reply within a few hours.
