Hi everyone, I am a current medical student passionate about subjects in healthcare, as well as teaching various age demographics. Over the years of my educational journey, I have had the privilege of conversing with various students, teachers, and healthcare professionals through a variety of volunteer and internship experiences. I believe in transferring the skills and knowledge I have acquired through teaching, by helping students address the root cause of academic difficulties, and by encouraging a genuine understanding rather than pure memorisation.

I graduated from high school taking the International Baccalaureate exam, where I obtained a full score of 45/45. I specialised in the Higher Level subjects of Biology, Chemistry, and Psychology. As for Standard Level subjects, I engaged in English Language and Literature, Mathematics Analysis and Approaches, and Spanish AB Initio.

I strongly emphasise a holistic approach of directly tackling the root cause of a student's trouble in grasping certain topics or concepts. I address students' areas of concern by going through such topics and specific concepts in a digestible and comprehensive manner. This may involve using analogies or step-by-step explanations, which simplify information and eases understanding. Once fundamental concepts and skills have been covered, I shift towards applying these fundamentals into structuring appropriate responses effectively through repeated and guided practice, ultimately to score the maximum marks in exams. To end, I like to summarise key takeaways with the student to ensure they are actively engaged with their learning. I may assign small but highly focused practice tasks or homework for students if required, as I value the importance of repeated revision.
