Hello! I'm Vineth! I offer online tutoring for students in years 8 to 12 in the ACT in specialist methods, chemistry, and biology. I aim to give students the best opportunity to do well in their subjects by honing down and targeting the skills they struggle with. I believe practice makes perfect when it comes to this, and once a strong foundation is built, only then can we extend and push ourselves further.

I graduated from Burgmann Anglican School in 2025 as the dux of my cohort, with a final ATAR of 99.25. The skills I've learnt over my time at school did not just come to me one day, I honed them down until they were near perfect with the help of my own teachers and tutors. My goal is to do the same for other students as what was once done for me, by providing guidance in places of confusion and supplying the resources for students to practise. While having a tutor is an undeniable advantage, it isn't what separates an A student from a C student. A lot of responsibility is placed on the student to use their resources to their advantage, whether that mean contacting a tutor if they need or practising questions until they feel confident. My goal is to guide students to the path where they can perform the best, giving insight as a past student who happened to do quite well. I know how stressful school can be, especially in years 11 and 12, which is why I try to improve students' confidence in certain topics. This doesn't just mean doing hundreds of questions until you memorise how to do them, but fully understanding why a certain approach is taken for problems and being able to conceptualise them in an easy-to-recall way.

My rate is $45 per lesson, with a free first lesson for students to see if I'm a good fit for their learning style. I hope to see you in one of my lessons!

Experience

I have volunteered several times throughout my time at school for activities involving the community. For example, I volunteered to help with science week at school, which involved guiding younger students in science related activities such as a frog dissection and a PCR test. In year 12, I also volunteered to help with Year 10 ACT maths day, which was hosted by my school. This involved spending the day guiding year 10 students in the activities of the day to ensure the instructions were clear and they had the best chance to do well. In the last few months I have also voluntarily tutored several of my family friends by giving them guidance as to how to approach studies to perform their best in later years.
