Experience:
Tutored Organic Chemistry to Year 1 university students.
Tutored Year 12 Specialist Mathematics and Chemistry
Tutored Year 11 Physics

I have achieved a converted ATAR of 99.95 and have maintained a GPA of 6.67 in my first year of university, with the completion of 150 credits. I have particularly found a love for chemistry, with an expertise in organic chemistry, with it being one of my strongest subjects, achieving a 100% on my year 12 final exam, as well as high distinctions (7) in university chemistry courses. I have a passion and a good foundation in Mathematics (93%) and Physics (95%), and high distinctions in university courses Linear Algebra 1 and Calculus 1. I achieved a 97% raw score in my Biology exam, including botany, zoology, and human anatomy and physiology.

My Approach
I believe effective tutoring is about more than just academics. Every student learns differently, so I focus on:

Adapting teaching methods to suit each student
Building confidence alongside academic skills
Trying flash cards as active recall strategies, but mainly using the textbook and practice question papers to reinforce concepts and depth of understanding

Having personally progressed from an average student to achieving a 99.95 ATAR and entering medical school, I understand the challenges students face in academic growth and the strategies that truly make a difference.

With regards to each subject, I tend to focus on different key aspects that would really reinforce concepts. Mind maps for biology, problem solving for physics and math and a little bit of both for chemistry. I understand that the amount of new content and adapting to new teaching styles as well as the level up each year is one of the most emotionally draining experiences and I would like to assure you that once everything is broken down and that consistency is achieved, everything will fall into place. I would like to be there to assist you through that journey, being the R2D2 to your Luke Skywalker.

It's been all serious so far, but I would like to emphasise that I like to create a comfortable environment for my students, where I would rather it be a friendly discussion of what my students find difficult and help work through it with them. I am very receptive to their needs and feedback, so always feel free to speak to me about any issues regarding my teaching style. I have an unhealthy passion for binge-watching movies and sitcoms, so you will definitely see some references in our tutoring sessions! I am passionate about helping students navigate their own learning journeys, build confidence, and reach their full potential.

Thank you for reading my ad, and feel free to reach out if you've been intrigued!
