Hello! I’m Sofia Terrill and I’m currently studying a Bachelor of Science and Masters in Engineering (GDP). I graduated with an IB 42, equivalent to 98, 5 ATAR. Receiving 7/7 in Physics HL, Chemistry SL and Business and Management SL, and 6/7 in Mathematics Analysis and Approaches HL, Spanish A SL and English B HL. I have been tutoring since 2021, helping students from year 8 to up to year 12 boost their grades and achieve their goals. I’m here to support you in any way I can!

Weather you need support in:
- Understanding a specific topic or concept that you have been struggling with.
- Preparation before IB examinations, with tips and resources to boost your grades.
- Getting through assignments or exams, or looking for extra feedback.
-General mixed revision
-Spanish learning or conversational classes (as someone who has lived in Spain for years)
I’m here to help you! I will provide you with resources and practice material which I have personally used.

I usually structure my tutoring sessions to last 1 hour and 30 minutes because it provides the perfect balance between focus, deep understanding, and retention. It gives us enough time to go through the theory and also the practice.

I am very keen on students not memorising the content but understanding it. We will be working in understanding the concepts, we will work on what is YOUR best way of learning and we will go through all the subjects to make sure you fully understand them so you can boost your grades.

As a student myself who is passionate about both learning and teaching, I offer personalized teaching methods and high academic expertise. Can’t wait to meet you!

Experience

I have been tutoring since 2021. Over the years, I have worked with students from Year 8 to Year 12, including students completing VCE and IB, helping them strengthen their understanding, improve their grades, and achieve their academic goals. I have also been tutoring Spanish for the last two years as I did grow up with a Spanish speaking mom.
As a student myself, I understand the challenges that can come with learning, which is why I aim to make my lessons supportive, personalised, and effective
