Hi, I'm Justin Tran, a Sydney Grammar School graduate (Class of 2025) with an ATAR of 99.95. I offer private and small group tutoring for Preliminary and HSC students, and also tutor junior high school students. I teach Mathematics, English, Chemistry and Classical Greek, but am also happy to help students with Latin and Physics. Furthermore, I offer Olympiad Maths to students of all year groups, including the AMC, AIMO, AMO, ASC and IMO training.

I have maintained a strong passion for the subjects I have studied, recognising that results should not come estranged from an internal locus of control when pursuing study. Discovering self-motivation, as I have found, brings greater success than theory-centric or rote-learning methodologies.

I am disposed towards exam-style questions for HSC students, but for younger years, I aim to pursue tuition focusing on study techniques and first-principles thinking in order to ensure students have a strong foundational understanding.

Logistics:

- Online tuition is preferred, although in-person tuition may be possible subject to distance and availability.
- My rate is $100/hr for Mathematics Extension 1, English Advanced and Chemistry, $120/hr for Mathematics Extension 2 and Classical Greek, and $140/hr for Olympiad training

Explication on rates:

- For equivalent subjects at a lower grade level e.g. Sciences in Year 10, the rate will match the equivalent Year 12 subject
- Rates may vary depending on the level of Olympiad training
- Discounts are available for small-group tuition, depending on the size of class
- I am willing to read English texts that I personally have not studied in Year 12, but for such classes, at least a week should be given in advance for such texts to be read and analysed in spare time
