Sydney tutor in Algebra, Calculus, Creative Writing, Economics, English, Essay Writing, Further Maths, General Maths, Geometry, Maths, Maths Methods, Maths Specialist, Statistics, Study Skills, English Advanced, Mathematics Extension 1, Mathematics Extension 2, Mathematics Advanced

Hi my name is Kurtis! I graduated in 2025 from the academically selective North Sydney Boys High School (ranked 1st in NSW for the last three years), with an ATAR of 99.05; achieving a Band 6 (90+) in Mathematics Extension 1, Mathematics Extension 2, English Advanced and Economics. This year, I will be commencing a Bachelor of Commerce/Law at UNSW.

Having been in the bottom 20% of my cohort in Year 11, I understand how discouraging it can feel to work hard and achieve results below your expectations as others around you pull ahead. I also know what it feels like to study a subject you dislike, a mistake I had made when selecting my HSC subjects, prioritising scaling over genuine interest which led me to procrastinate and underperform.

Yet reminiscing about these experiences has shaped how I tutor; marks matter, but so too does helping students find purpose in what they're studying, so they aren't afraid of a subject the way I once was.

My teaching style is highly personalised. I recognise that every student learns differently, and I adapt my pacing, resources, and explanations to suit each student's level and goals. Whether a student needs foundational support to rebuild confidence in the basics or more challenging, extension-level questions to push towards top marks, I can provide it. My lessons are never one-size-fits-all every resource and explanation is tailored to where the student is and where they want to be.

For Year 11-12 students, I offer:
- One-to-one online and in-person tutoring for Mathematics Extension 1, Mathematics Extension 2, Mathematics Advanced, English Advanced and Economics.
- Unlimited assistance, advice and feedback via message beyond lesson times.
- Access to state-rank / exemplar essays, essay plans, and study material for all provided subjects.

For Year 7-10 students, I offer:
- One-to-one online and in-person tutoring for English, Mathematics, and Commerce.
- Unlimited assistance, advice and feedback via message beyond lesson times.
