Hi, I’m Martin, a Belgian biomedical engineer and native French speaker currently based in Australia.

I offer tutoring in Maths, Science and French, with a patient, structured and confidence-focused approach. My goal is not only to help students get the right answer, but to make sure they understand the logic behind it and feel able to solve similar problems by themselves.

In Maths and Science, I help students rebuild strong foundations, clarify difficult concepts and practise step by step. I like using simple explanations, diagrams, real-life examples and progressive exercises to make complex topics easier to understand.

In French, I can support students with grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, school assignments and conversation practice. As a native French speaker from Belgium, I can also help learners improve their confidence when speaking and understanding real French.

I am especially suited to students who feel capable but lose confidence when working alone. I create a calm learning environment where students can ask questions freely, make mistakes without pressure, and gradually become more independent.

My background in biomedical engineering gives me a strong foundation in mathematics, physics, biology, chemistry and scientific problem-solving. I have also worked on engineering projects involving medical devices and surgical robotics, so I enjoy connecting school concepts to practical examples when useful.

Lessons are adapted to each student’s level, goals and learning style. I can help with homework, revision, exam preparation, catching up on missed foundations, or simply building confidence over time.

I tutor primary and high school students, especially Years 7–10, and I can also support beginners or adults learning French.

Experience

I have experience tutoring and supporting students in Maths, Science and French, with a strong focus on building confidence and independence. My approach is patient, structured and adapted to each student’s level.

I help students understand the logic behind each topic rather than simply memorising answers. I usually start by identifying the student’s strengths and gaps, then explain the concept step by step using clear examples, guided exercises and practice questions.

I have worked with students who understand explanations during the lesson but lose confidence when working alone, so I focus on helping them become more comfortable, organised and independent in their learning.

Qualifications

I am a Belgian biomedical engineer with a Master’s degree in Health Engineering from ECAM Brussels Engineering School.

My academic background includes mathematics, physics, biology, chemistry, biomechanics, medical technologies, engineering design and data analysis. I have also worked on biomedical engineering projects involving surgical robotics, medical devices and scientific problem-solving.

I am a native French speaker and can tutor French language, conversation, grammar and pronunciation, as well as Maths and Science for school students.
