Hi! I'm Shaurjesh, and I'm currently studying Bachelor of Science/Doctor of Medicine at the University of Sydney. I achieved 5 A* grades in CIE A-Levels (equivalent to a 99.95 ATAR) and received NZQA Scholarship Awards in Chemistry, English, and Calculus. Most importantly though, I genuinely love these subjects and want to help you succeed in them too.

Having only recently completed IGCSE and A-Levels myself, I have fresh, up-to-date knowledge of exactly what examiners are looking for, the mark schemes they use, and the techniques that actually work in exams. I know how overwhelming these curricula can feel: the volume of content, the pressure of high-stakes exams, the frustration when a concept just won't click. I've been there, and I've figured out strategies that work.

For HSC students: While my background is in Cambridge curricula, the core content overlaps significantly with HSC sciences and maths, and my recent experience navigating rigorous international exams has given me strong insights into exam technique, time management, and how to approach different question styles. I've thoroughly familiarised myself with HSC syllabi, past papers, and marking guidelines to ensure I can support you effectively in your specific curriculum.

Experience

I developed strong tutoring experience throughout high school, particularly through my school's peer-tutoring program. From 2023-2025, I tutored students across Years 8-12 in STEM subjects, Humanities, English, and Spanish. I mentored students in solving challenging problems, building conceptual understanding, and preparing strategically for exams.
