I specialise in tutoring primary school children to develop their skills to the best of their ability. Having over 10 years’ experience in working with children, I can help to build up your child’s reading and writing skills, or their confidence with maths. I use Active Learning strategies informed by the Inquiry Learning method. I have worked with various strategies relating to teaching reading through phonics, as well as fun and engaging activities to inspire children’s creativity. I have worked in environments which use Montessori and Reggio Emilio approaches and believe in inspiring children’s exploration of ideas about the world. My past experience has included years of one-on-one and small group tuition, and working as an assistant at primary schools among many roles to do with children’s education.
I have qualifications in Early Childhood, I.T. and Humanities and enjoy creating and structuring my own learning materials. I am also just about to finish a Primary Teaching qualification. (Bachelor of Arts, Master of Information Technology and Certificate 3 in Early Childhood Education and Learning, completing a Master of Teaching (Primary) now finishing the final unit).
My own passion for learning and education helps me to create learning programs which are engaging and at a high standard. In my own childhood, my own experiences in being in the Opportunity Class and Selective Schools growing up here in Sydney have inspired in me a love for high-quality education.
