I am a highly passionate, qualified teacher who thrives on supporting anyone and everyone in reaching their full potential. Availability: 7.00am - 6.00pm Monday to Friday, with some availability Saturday on request.

Location: I am happy to meet at the student’s home, school, local library or any other venue that will support their success and ease any anxiety they may be experiencing. I provide an environment that suits the student and take into consideration such things as lighting, noise, smells, distractions, time and duration of lesson etc.

If applicable or on request, I will conduct my own assessment of where the student is at with their learning and identify any gaps or misconceptions that need to be addressed.

There will be no generic lesson plans to work from as each student will have a plan designed to their individual needs and timeframe for learning.

While I am qualified to teach Prep - Year 10, my passion lies in sharing the skills and tools to ensure everyone has sufficient literacy skills. So much so that I trialled an alternative method for teaching reading, spelling and writing with my Prep students that proved so successful, our school adopted this method for the whole school over the following 2-year period. From there I moved into Leadership and created lessons and units of work for entire year levels, seeing students go from non-readers and writers to competent and confident ones. I love, love, love teaching and knowing that I helped a young person with a challenge, overcome it and come out stronger and more capable on the other side.

Bachelor of Education Prep - Year 10

Rates

$50 per half hour or $90 per hour including travel up to 9km within radius of Palm Beach.
$60 per half hour or $100 per hour for travel between 10-15km
Distances further than 15km will be negotiated prior to initial appointment.
