HOW I TUTOR
Before the lesson - If you know the specific topics you would like to focus on, letting me know before the lesson and providing the name of the textbook used by your school will help me prepare for the lesson. If you're just feeling lost and not sure where to start, that's fine too! We can work out the best place to start together in the first session.
Understand first - We start with the concept. I explain the "why" before jumping into formulas or code, so everything clicks rather than just being memorised.
Guided practice - We work through problems together, with me stepping back as your confidence grows.
Independent problems - You tackle questions on your own while I'm there to give feedback and catch any gaps.
Study techniques - Having gone through ATAR myself, I found the study methods that work best for me, and I can help you do the same. Whether its memorisation techniques, self-testing methods or study schedules- I love working out the best way to get these ideas into our heads.
