It is a pleasure to meet you. My name is Jason and I am offering my tutoring services in a variety of subjects. Key areas include the following:

- English language: primary school English, English as a second language, High school English language and literature up to grade 9 (Five years of English language tutoring experience),

- Science: primary school science, high school biology, physiology, University level pathology, histology, plant physiology, pathology, and genetics (Experience from the International baccalaureate higher level biology and higher level chemistry programmes, a bachelor's degree in biotechnology, and current Doctor of Medicine Studies - third year in a four year postgraduate programme)

- UCAT and Multiple Mini Interviews: examination preparation, planning, and practice, interview strategies and simulation (Score of 3120/3600 in 2020 cohort exam)

From my years of tutoring experience, I have developed an approach to teaching that emphasises the individualism of the student. I cater the curriculum in such a way that each unique student can learn in a format this is engaging, enjoyable, and effective for them. I love nothing more than seeing my students develop their knowledge, enthusiasm, and critical thinking so much that they ask questions that even I cannot answer.

I am happy to accommodate students in the office or veranda of my family's home in Kenmore, and I am equally keen on driving to your place (depending on distance) or a public space like a library to offer my tuition services. For those who prefer, I can also offer video meeting tutoring sessions.

As I am currently a full time postgraduate university student, I have reduced availability on weekdays; however, I am often available on most weeknights or later in the afternoon on weekdays. I also have extensive availability on the weekend. I am happy to do session lengths ranging from one hour to three hours and I can accommodate multiple sessions a week.

Experience

Five years of continuous experience tutoring English as a second language in one-on-one and small classes (up to 8 students). The scope of previous work includes didactic teaching, open discussion of academic topics, and the creation of exercises and learning plans tailored to each individual student's needs. Frequent curriculum involves reading, writing, listening, speaking, grammar, and basic literature up to the level of year six in the Australian English curriculum.
