Hello, I'm Rohan.

I hold a Bachelor of Science (Mathematics) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from UNSW and have more than 15 years of professional experience in financial markets, operations, risk and governance.

I previously worked as a mathematics tutor both privately and through EK Academy in Campbelltown, helping students develop confidence and improve their understanding of mathematical concepts.

My tutoring approach focuses on building strong foundations, improving problem-solving skills and helping students understand the reasoning behind concepts rather than simply memorising formulas. I aim to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through challenges at their own pace.

I tutor Mathematics, Algebra, Calculus, Statistics, Business Studies and Economics at secondary level, and can also assist with selected university-level mathematics, economics and finance subjects.

Having spent many years applying mathematics and analytical thinking in professional financial markets roles, I enjoy helping students connect classroom concepts to real-world applications.

I am happy to work with students of varying ability levels, whether they need help catching up, building confidence, preparing for exams or striving for higher academic results.

I hold a current Working With Children Check and also volunteer in children's programs, which has further strengthened my ability to engage with and support young people in their learning.

Experience

I have previously provided private mathematics tutoring to secondary school students in Sydney, including students in Kellyville and Westmead, and also worked as a tutor through EK Academy in Cabramatta

In addition to my tutoring experience, I have spent more than 15 years working in financial markets, operations, risk and governance roles where I regularly applied quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills.

My approach is to help students build confidence, understand concepts clearly and develop effective study habits rather than simply memorising solutions. I tutor Mathematics, General Maths, Algebra, Calculus, Statistics, Business Studies and Economics.
