I am NESA conditional teacher approved, with all my placements and internships completed. I have much experience teaching and supporting students from K-6. I have also tutored study skills and essay writing for tertiary students. During my placements I created and taught units and lessons for subjects, Math, Advanced Math, English, Science and HSIE.

I am available every day, except for Wednesdays, to tutor either at your home or online.

I love tutoring because it gives that 1 on 1 support that isn't usually available in classrooms. With that 1 on 1 support, much more is achievable and students are able to understand better.

I usually approach my lessons by seeing what ability the student is at, set a simple goal for the lesson, explain and demonstrate the concept, and then allow them to do the work with support. Additionally, I love to add a relevant game to the end, as it gives them to look forward to something and learn in a fun way.

Experience

I have tutored math for years 3-6, in addition to doing teaching placements for years K-6. During my placements, I have taught advanced math for stage 3 (years 5 and 6). I also created and taught units for English, Math, and Science.
Additionally, I have worked with many students who need extra support, including ADHD, autism, dyslexia, dyspraxia, and ODD.
