Brisbane tutor in Music Theory, Piano

My lessons are tailored to each student and cover a wide variety of interests, including beginners to advanced students, AMEB exam review, competition preparation (of all levels), audition coaching, music theory training, and instruction of technique, interpretation, and musicality. Lessons are always private and one-on-one, in-person (or online if preferred), flexible in length, and available on both weekdays and weekends. As a Juilliard pre-college graduate with extensive experience on international stages performing extensive classical repertoire, I truly enjoy sharing the joys of music-making with others. I hope to provide each student with the most effective guidance possible to progress in their musical journey and unlock a broader world of imagination.

Throughout my career, I have often worked with other pianists as a teacher. Whether it be a new pianist learning the basics or a more advanced player preparing for competitions or auditions, I listen attentively to each student's needs and learning style and give advice as effectively as possible. Always, I am dedicated to nurturing each student's passion, developing technique, enhancing artistry, and building confidence in every step of the way.

Qualifications

I began my piano studies at age three, and at age six, I was accepted into the Juilliard School Pre-College, where I recently graduated after ten years of intensive lessons, performances, and classes. I am an incoming student at Harvard University and New England Conservatory. I have won numerous national and international competitions, attended renowned festivals, and appeared as soloist with acclaimed orchestras such as the Cleveland Orchestra and Brisbane Symphony Orchestra. I have extensively performed major classical repertoire and gained experience in music theory, ear training, and composition.
