Canberra-based English, Humanities & French Tutor (Years 9–1
Canberra tutor in English, Essay Writing, French, History, Latin, Philosophy, Politics, Society and Culture, Sociology
I am an experienced tutor specialising in English, humanities and French for high school students, with a particular focus on Years 9–12 and IB/HSC courses.
I completed the IB Diploma Programme with an ATAR of 98.85 and a degree in Politics and International Relations from the University of Sydney (High Distinction). This background has given me strong essay writing and analytical skills, which I now help students develop in their own work across English, History, Politics, Philosophy, Sociology, and Latin.
I also offer tutoring in French. I am fluent (C2 level) and lived in France for four years, with experience helping students build confidence in both written and spoken French at all levels.
Across all subjects, I focus on helping students understand course content in an accessible way, structure written responses effectively, and communicate their ideas with clarity and confidence.
Lessons are tailored to each student and may include:
- working through course content
- essay planning and writing
- exam preparation and review
- language practice and conversation (French and Latin)
I am available throughout the week and can meet at your home, a public library, or online.
Feel free to get in touch to discuss your goals or ask any questions.
