Availability: I'm available weekdays after school and weekends. Note: I can't do midday sessions on weekdays due to university commitments.
Contact: Phone is the best way to reach me.
Meeting location: I mainly tutor online, but I'm also happy to meet in person, either at my place in Docklands or at the student's home, depending on distance and what works for the family.
About me: I'm a Bachelor of Science student at the University of Melbourne, majoring in Human Structure and Function, on a pathway toward a Master of Physiotherapy. I hold a valid Working With Children Check and have several years of customer service experience, which has sharpened my communication skills and patience, both essential for tutoring. I'm a registered sole trader and tutor independently.
Why I tutor: I genuinely enjoy helping students build confidence in subjects they've struggled with. There's nothing more rewarding than watching a concept "click" for a student, especially when it's something they walked in believing they just "weren't good at."
Areas of expertise: My main subjects are Maths, Science, and English, up to Year 10–11 level, as well as VCE subjects where I've built detailed question banks and worked solutions from past VCAA exams.
Levels offered: Primary through to Senior High School (VCE), including exam preparation.
My approach: I use a gradual release model — "I Do, We Do, You Do" — moving students from guided instruction to independent mastery at a pace that suits them. I believe in individualised teaching rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, adapting my style to each student's learning needs.
Lesson structure: Each lesson typically starts with a quick review of previous concepts, moves into new content with worked examples, then finishes with independent practice so I can check understanding before the student leaves. I provide homework and follow-up materials after each session.
Resources: I've developed my own suite of lesson materials, homework sheets, and diagnostic assessments tailored to each student's level, along with VCE-specific worked solutions and past-exam-based question banks.
