Hi, I’m Ray—an experienced secondary teacher specialising in Business Studies, Commerce, Economics and Finance. I currently teach at a highly regarded independent school in Sydney and understand what students need to produce clear, well-structured and high-quality assessment and examination responses.

My lessons go beyond memorising textbook content. I help students understand difficult concepts, apply theory to real-world examples, interpret economic data and structure their answers to meet HSC marking criteria.

My qualifications include a Master of Teaching from the University of Sydney, a Master of Science in Statistics, a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and successful completion of the CFA Level II examination. I also bring practical experience in auditing and taxation in the United States, allowing me to connect classroom theory with real business and financial decisions.

Before teaching in Australia, I taught AP Economics and AP/IB subjects at international schools in China. I also have four years of university-level accounting tutoring experience.

Every lesson is personalised to the student’s goals, ability and learning style. Bilingual tutoring is available in English and Mandarin Chinese.

I also hold a Bachelor of Arts in Vocal Music Performance and offer vocal coaching in technique, sight-singing, aural skills and performance preparation.
