I'm a native Australian English speaker with a PhD in linguistics and a Certificate IV in TESOL, and I coach IELTS and PTE the way the tests are actually scored: band descriptors and task requirements first, then targeted work on exactly what's holding your score down.

Most students who plateau aren't short of English — they're losing marks in one or two specific places: pronunciation features the computer mis-hears, grammatical range that stays safe, essays that answer the wrong half of the question. As a professional linguist, I can usually diagnose in one session what generic classes take weeks to find. Then we drill precisely that, with real test tasks and honest scoring against the official criteria.

I work with students chasing 79+ for PR points, Band 7s for professional registration, and university entry scores. Sessions are one-on-one or small groups of two to four, in person around inner Sydney or online, weekdays, evenings and weekends.
