Hi!

My name is Imogen and I love learning. I've spent 9 years facing students in the classroom - from teaching English in Hanoi to helping students dessect toads in the UQ Labs. My facination with how the world works has lead me through 10 years of post-school education, with a spotlight on human biology, evolution and development.

Although my primary subject area is Biology, my favourite subject to teach is Physics. Synthesis of ideas and hypotheses come from true understanding of the foundations. To understand Biology, you need to know the chemistry of biological molecules; and to understand Chemistry, you need to know the physics of atomic interactions; and to understand Physics, you need to communicate in the language of Maths.

You could say I help students understand science through a cross-disceplinary approach.

About the lessons:
> I support primarily tertiary students with first and second year courses from degrees such as Biomedicine, Medicine, Science, Nutrition, Sport/Exercise Science, Nursing and Paramedics.

> I focus on subjects with topics relating to physiology/pathophysiology, anatomy/functional anatomy/neuroanatomy, immunology, genetics, neuroscience/neurobiology, human biology, microbiology, cell/tissue biology, genomics, virology, endocrinology, chemistry/biochemistry

>I run all of my classes online and offer a 30-60min free introductory call with every new student.
