I don’t believe languages should be taught as lists of rules and answers to memorise. I want students to understand why something works.

I teach Modern Greek, Ancient and Byzantine Greek, Latin, philosophy and mythology, adapting lessons to the age, level and goals of each student. That might mean helping a child build confidence in Greek, exploring mythology through language and stories, working through an Ancient Greek or Latin text, or supporting a more advanced student with grammar, literature and interpretation.

My approach often explores the connections between language, history and ideas — where words come from, how meanings have changed, why grammatical structures developed and how ancient languages continue to appear in the modern world.

I am a native Greek speaker and studied Byzantine and Modern Greek Language and Literature at the University of Cyprus. My academic studies covered Modern and Ancient Greek, Byzantine Greek, Latin, linguistics, literature, philosophy, history and related humanities subjects. I have several years of teaching experience in Cyprus and Australia across subjects within my academic field.

I am fluent in English, with formal English studies, GCE O Level English and IELTS, and have also worked professionally in journalism, editing, writing and drama. I am currently studying Law.

Lessons are available for children and adults, from beginners through to advanced and university-level students. I also welcome students studying Classics, theology and other disciplines who need support with Greek or Latin.

I am a native Greek speaker and fluent in English, with formal English studies from childhood, GCE O Level English and IELTS. I also have professional experience in journalism, editing, writing and drama, and I am currently studying a Bachelor of Laws in Australia.
