I'm the Dux of Aitken College (2023, 97 ATAR, 48 Methods, 47 Specialist) and a third-year Actuarial Studies student at the University of Melbourne with H1 results across my university maths subjects. Over 3 years of private tutoring, I've helped students achieve raw scores of 45+ in Methods and 40+ in Specialist by designing tailored weekly lesson plans, teaching content ahead of school to give students a head start, and using an extensive library of custom resources built over 5 years — including "separator" questions that only 2% of the state get correct — to give my students a real competitive edge. I have three years of experience providing private tutoring in VCE Mathematics, specialising in Methods and Specialial Specialist Mathematics. I've helped students achieve strong results, including raw scores of 45+ in Methods and 40+ in Specialist, by combining structured teaching with tailored support.

For each student, I design weekly lesson plans built around their specific goals and target scores, adjusting pacing, content focus, and difficulty depending on where they're starting from and what they want to achieve. Because every student learns differently, I cater my approach to their individual needs — whether that means slowing down to build strong foundations, accelerating through content for high achievers, or focusing heavily on exam technique closer to assessments.

A key part of my method is teaching content ahead of the school curriculum, so students walk into class already familiar with material — this builds confidence, reduces stress, and gives them more time to consolidate understanding before school assessments and exams.

I've also built up an extensive library of custom resources over the years — practice problems, exam-style questions, and structured notes — which lets me give students targeted practice that goes beyond standard textbooks and past papers, something that sets my tutoring apart.

Qualifications

I graduated as Dux of Aitken College in 2023, achieving a 97 ATAR, with raw scores of 48 in Mathematical Methods and 47 in Specialist Mathematics.

I'm currently in my third year of a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Actuarial Studies, at the University of Melbourne — one of the most mathematically rigorous degrees offered, closely aligned with the content and thinking skills required for VCE Maths. I've achieved H1 (High Distinction) results across my university mathematics subjects, reflecting a deep and current understanding of the material I teach.

I'm also fluent in Mandarin, allowing me to teach comfortably in either English or Mandarin depending on what suits the student best.

Alongside my academic results, I've received numerous awards throughout both high school and university, reflecting a consistent record of academic excellence.
