Melbourne tutor in Algebra, Calculus, Creative Writing, EAL, English, English Language, English Literature, ESL, Essay Writing, Further Maths, General Maths, Geometry, Maths, Reading, Statistics

With over 10 years of tutoring experience, I specialise in helping students in Years 5–8 succeed in Mathematics, Quantitative Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, Verbal Reasoning, and Creative & Persuasive Writing. My focus is on preparing students for private school scholarship exams, selective entry exams, SEAL entry, and NAPLAN, as well as providing general subject support.

I believe strong results come from genuine understanding, not just memorised tricks. That's why I focus on building each student's grasp of core concepts alongside practical exam technique, problem-solving skills, and confident essay writing. Many of my students have gone on to gain entry into Victoria's selective schools, win scholarships to leading private schools, and achieve real improvement in their NAPLAN results.

I passionately believe every child is capable once they're freed from performance anxiety. Watching high-achieving kids grow the kind of confidence that comes from being genuinely prepared is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.

My teaching style is patient, structured, and results-driven. Each lesson blends concept review, guided practice, and timed exam-style questions, tailored to the individual student's pace and the specific exam they're working towards. I keep my online classes to a maximum of 5 students, so every child gets genuine interaction and personalised attention — not just a seat in a crowded virtual classroom. I also provide my own worksheets and practice papers to support learning between sessions.

I tutor students in Years 5–8, online only, with a particular focus on Selective Entry, Scholarship, SEAL, and NAPLAN preparation. I'm available weekday evenings and weekend mornings — feel free to message me through the platform, or reach out directly to arrange a chat about your child's needs.

If you're looking for a tutor who combines experience, structure, and a genuine commitment to helping your child succeed, I'd love to help your family reach your goals.
