I am an experienced teacher and tutor with over 10 years of experience working with students both independently and through established tutoring companies. I have worked with students online, in person and in classroom settings, supporting a wide range of abilities, learning needs and confidence levels.
My aim is to make learning feel clear, achievable and encouraging. I understand that every child learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to the individual student rather than using a one size fits all approach.

Tutoring Availability: I offer tutoring for primary school students, with a particular focus on:
English, reading and comprehension, writing, spelling and grammar, Mathematics and homework support, revision and consolidation, building confidence with schoolwork, catching up in areas where students may be struggling and extension for students who are ready for an extra challenge.

My Approach:
I take the time to understand each student's strengths, areas for improvement and learning style. Lessons are supportive and structured, while still being relaxed enough for students to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.
I believe confidence is a big part of learning. My goal is not simply to help students complete a worksheet or get the right answer, but to help them understand how to approach a problem so they can become more independent learners.

What Lessons Can Include:
Depending on the student's needs, lessons may include:
Explicit teaching of new concepts, revising areas taught at school, guided practice, reading and comprehension activities, writing activities, mathematics practice, problem solving strategies, homework assistance, test preparation, games and engaging learning activities and worksheets and additional resources selected specifically for the student.

Lessons can also be structured around areas parents or teachers have identified as needing additional support.

Experience:
I bring both classroom teaching experience and more than 10 years of tutoring experience, giving me an understanding of how children learn in both school and one to one environments.
I have worked with students with a broad range of abilities, including children who need additional support, students who have lost confidence in a subject and students who would benefit from extension.
What I enjoy most about tutoring is seeing the moment something finally makes sense to a student. Helping children build confidence and realise that they are capable learners is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching.

Availability:
Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
Times: 4-7pm
Other days and times can be negotiated.

I offer online and face to face tutoring.

Location: I live in Faulconbridge, in the lower Blue Mountains. Lessons can be held at my location, at the student's home, online or at another agreed location.

I have over ten years of tutoring and teaching experience, working both independently and with established tutoring companies in online and face to face settings. As a qualified primary teacher, I also bring classroom teaching experience, giving me a strong understanding of curriculum requirements, student development and different learning needs.
