I am a University of Melbourne Bachelor of Science student majoring in Pathology, with a strong academic background and particular interests in biology, immunology, pathology and biomedical science. My university studies have given me a strong foundation in areas including cell biology, molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, physiology and disease mechanisms.

I offer Biology tutoring for secondary school students, including IGCSE and A-Level Biology, as well as first-year university (Level 1) Biology and related introductory biomedical science subjects. I am particularly comfortable helping students bridge the gap between high-school Biology and the more application-based style of university Biology.

I enjoy tutoring because I like turning complicated concepts into explanations that actually make sense. Rather than encouraging students to simply memorise facts, I focus on helping them understand the mechanisms and connections behind biological processes. I also place a strong emphasis on exam technique, scientific reasoning, interpreting data and constructing high-quality answers.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s needs and may include concept revision, guided practice, exam-style questions, targeted worksheets and detailed feedback. I can also provide my own notes and practice materials where appropriate. For students preparing for examinations, I identify weaker areas and structure lessons around improving both their knowledge and their ability to apply it under exam conditions.

I am patient, approachable and happy to adapt the pace and difficulty of lessons depending on the student’s goals, whether they are struggling with the fundamentals or aiming for a high grade.

Experience

I have experience tutoring secondary school students, including IGCSE and A-Level Biology for around 1 year now, and I enjoy breaking down complex biological concepts into clear, logical explanations that are easier to understand and remember. My lessons focus not only on building strong subject knowledge, but also on developing exam technique, scientific reasoning and confidence when answering structured and application-based questions.

Qualifications
