I specialise in HSC English and Legal Studies, and also tutor Business Studies, History, Society and Culture and essay writing for Years 7–12.

My focus is on the marking criteria: what earns marks and how to write to it. Each session covers the content, then works through the student's own essays or practice questions with detailed feedback. Closer to exams, we move to timed practice. I provide notes and practice questions where useful.

I tutor because clear writing is a skill that can be taught, and I enjoy seeing students' results improve once they understand what's expected.

Sessions are online and one-on-one. Available weekdays, 4pm–8pm.

Former corporate lawyer, Dux of English and 97.5 ATAR. I will teach students exactly what markers reward.

I worked as a corporate mergers and acquisitions lawyer across Brisbane and Sydney for three years, where precise writing and clear, well-structured arguments were central to the job.

At Prince Alfred College in Adelaide, I was Dux of English and received SACE Subject Merits (awarded to fewer than 2% of students) in English and Workplace Practices, the latter while competing in tennis at a national level. I finished with a 97.5 ATAR.

I'm new to formal tutoring, and I bring the same standards I held myself to in study and in legal practice. My sessions will focus on three things: understanding the content properly, knowing exactly what the marking criteria reward, and targeting what actually moves marks. I give detailed feedback on students' own work, whether the goal is moving up a band or chasing a Band 6.
