Sciences Po & ANU Student | Friendly, Personalised Tutoring

Canberra tutor in Creative Writing, Economics, English, English Language, Essay Writing, French, History, Philosophy, Politics, Sociology, Special Needs, Study Skills, TOEFL

Hi! I’m a French Sciences Po student currently studying at ANU in Canberra, and I offer friendly, personalised tutoring for students who want to build both their academic skills and their confidence.

I tutor French, History, English and essay writing, Political Science, International Relations and general academic support. As a native French speaker, I can also offer French conversation practice for students or adults who want to become more comfortable and natural when speaking.

My approach is patient, encouraging and adapted to each student. Rather than simply giving answers, I focus on helping students understand difficult concepts, organise their ideas and develop strategies they can use independently. Sessions can include homework help, essay planning and feedback, exam preparation, source and text analysis, revision, study skills or conversation practice.

Having studied in both the French and Australian university systems, I particularly enjoy working with students from different backgrounds and adapting to different learning styles.

Whether you need regular academic support, help preparing an important assignment, or simply want to feel more confident in a subject, I aim to make sessions supportive, engaging and genuinely useful.

Experience

I have experience providing regular one-on-one tutoring and homework support to children and teenagers. In France, I volunteered with an educational support organisation where I tutored students twice a week, helping them with homework, explaining difficult concepts and adapting my approach to their individual learning needs and pace.

I also have several years of experience working with children and teenagers in educational settings, including three years as a qualified summer camp counsellor and involvement in educational and community programs. These experiences have developed my ability to communicate clearly, build students’ confidence and adapt to different ages, personalities and learning styles.

I am currently a third-year Sciences Po Paris student studying on exchange at the Australian National University (ANU). My academic background gives me particular experience in essay writing, research, critical analysis, History, Political Science, International Relations and the humanities. As a native French speaker, I also offer French tutoring and conversation practice for a range of levels.

My approach is patient, supportive and personalised. I aim not only to help students complete their immediate schoolwork or assignments, but also to develop stronger study habits, writing skills and confidence so they can become more independent learners.

Qualifications

I am currently in the third year of a Bachelor’s degree at Sciences Po Paris, completing a full-year academic exchange at the Australian National University (ANU) in Canberra. My degree focuses on Political Humanities and International Relations, with extensive coursework involving History, Political Science, academic writing, research and critical analysis.

I completed the French Baccalauréat (equivalent to Australian Year 12) with highest honours (Mention Très Bien with Félicitations du Jury), specialising in History, Geography, Geopolitics and Political Science, Economics and Social Sciences, and Mathematics.

I am a native French speaker and fully fluent in English, with a TOEFL iBT score of 113/120. I can therefore provide tutoring in both French and English, particularly in French language and conversation, History, humanities and social sciences, as well as essay writing and academic methodology.

I also hold the French BAFA Youth Leadership qualification, including specialised training in supporting children and teenagers with disabilities, as well as First Aid certification and a current ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration.
