Can't do Maths - its too hard - it doesn't make sense - then I can help make a change. As a current teacher I am in touch with the latest resources for all year levels. I will be able to not only teach your child how to do Mathematics and understand what they are doing, I will also be able to provide additional resources- worksheets, practice tests even practice exams. Being able to understand mathematics is not about just getting an answer, AI can do that - a fully qualified, experienced, successful teacher can understand where your child is at and then break down what they are learning into much smaller tasks so that it has meaning and they can succeed. My available times are very flexible as is the location, I am happy to go to you and you can contact me via email or phone, a phone message is often the quickest way as I only check my emails at night.
I can offer tutoring from Grade 4 all the way up to year 12 level as I am currently teaching year 12's. I specialise in helping students who struggle with Mathematics achieve success irrespective of how weak they are.

Experience

I have been helping students understand Mathematics for over 30 years. I start at the beginning and build students understanding and connections up so that what they are learning has meaning. I teach a clear structure that helps students solve questions in any context. I specialise in helping those students who struggle to learn and understand mathematics so that it is enjoyable and rewarding. The current student I am working with has gone from an average of 20% to 80%. I will be able to identify a students strengths and weaknesses so that they can become an excellent Mathematics student in any topic they study.

Qualifications

I am a qualified Mathematics teacher who has been teaching from Grade 5 to year 12 for over 30 years. I currently teach from year 7 to 12 in a private school. I have taught all ability ranges and done additional training in working with students with English as a second language as well as supporting students with learning difficulties.
