Brisbane tutor in Anatomy, Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Economics, Essay Writing, General Science, Human Biology, Maths, Microbiology, Physics, Physiology, Study Skills

Hi! I’m Alicia, an experienced tutor with over eight years of experience supporting high school, TAFE, and university students. I specialise in Economics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, and English across both the QCAA and IB curricula (have also tutored HSC, VCE and BSSS with several tutoring companies).

I graduated with a 99.25 ATAR and studied a double degree in Economics and Public Health at the University of Queensland. I completed the IB Diploma with 7s in Higher Level Economics, Biology, and Chemistry, and have received multiple academic excellence awards, including High Distinction awards in high school competitions.

My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and highly personalised. I adapt every lesson to the student’s goals and preferred learning style, whether that means visual whiteboard explanations, structured written notes, discussion-based learning, or guided practice questions. Lessons usually begin with a review or clear explanation of new material, followed by targeted questions to strengthen understanding and confidence.

I am passionate about helping students develop strong foundations rather than simply memorising answers. I encourage questions throughout every lesson and regularly check that students understand the content before moving on. Students receive detailed notes, practice materials, and learning aids where helpful, so they can consolidate their learning between sessions.

I tutor:
- Years 7–10 Maths, English, Science, Geography, History, Commerce, and Economics
- Years 11–12 QCAA and IB General Mathematics, Mathematical Methods, Economics, Chemistry, and Biology
- Selected Economics and Biology university and TAFE subjects.

I tutor both (mostly) online and in person, depending on the location (around the Ascot/Brisbane CBD area)
