- About the Tutor -
My name is Hanna Sibarani and I have been supporting students for more than 10 years and possibly close to 20 years. I have experiences working with students from early childhood settings until tertiary education.

My academic background is in Science (Food Science and Technology) but I am passionate in art and design which I have learned and applied over the years. I mainly do watercolour painting, colour pencil drawing, digital drawing and lettering as well as graphic design. You can see my portfolio on my website. I came from Indonesia and a native Indonesian speaker. I have experiences teaching Indonesian to primary, secondary and adult students. I also learned in Japan during my university years. I currently work at a secondary school supporting secondary students mostly in Mathematics, Science and Japanese.

- About the Lessons -
I am available for tutoring sessions on weekday evenings (depending on days, between 4:30 pm-8:30 pm) and on Saturdays (9:30 am-5:30 pm). At the moment, I prefer online lesson but if you are keen to do face-to-face lesson, please feel free to ask.

A lesson is usually 1 hour long ($65/hour). However, if it helps the student, I can try accommodate by modifying the lesson duration. A pro-rata fee will apply. For secondary students, 1 hour lesson is usually recommended due to the depth of the topics.

I find 1-1 lesson to be the golden method of learning. However, I can cater for a small group of 2 students with 15% discount applies per student ($55/student/hour for a group of 2 students).

A commitment of at least 5 lessons is required. Invoice for 5 lessons will be sent prior to the start of the lessons. For term-length lessons, there will be two invoices sent - around week 1 and week 6 of school term. Casual and impromptu/immediate request of a lesson (e.g. during exam periods) will incur additional fee for each lesson ($75/hour).

- What is learned during the lesson -
Most of my students do tutoring to support their studies at school or TAFE or university. Hence, I usually follow what they have learned at their main educational institutes. However, I can provide intervention support for primary or secondary students depending on their needs. If this is what you need, please indicate this in your message. - The special approach -
I want you to enjoy your learning and to understand what you learn. That is my goal for you during your lessons. I love the early childhood approach where learning is unhurried. That does not mean we work really slowly but I completely understand if we need to take a longer time for you to understand the topic. Please be encouraged to tell me if you still don't understand a topic or if you would like me to reexplain. I completely understand. It is my joy when you get your 'aha' moment 😊
