Melbourne tutor in Algebra, Calculus, Further Maths, GAMSAT, Maths, Maths Methods, Physics

Most of my tutoring sessions are based around helping Students with the concepts being taught in class. In the higher level of Mathematics and Physics, you might find that quite a lot of content is covered in a short amount of time. I try to focus on making sure that my students have a true understanding of the underlying concepts tested in these subjects as well as working through the tougher types of questions likely to be faced in SACs and Exams.

How I currently run my tutoring sessions: Throughout the week I expect my students to gather questions which they cover in class or in their textbooks that they might not fully understand, have attempted and gotten wrong or just aren't sure on how to answer. Most of the tutoring session time is focused on working through these questions (or other questions of my own that I make up) as well as discussing the concepts targeted by the question.

Although I'm currently studying a Masters of Electrical Engineering at The University of Melbourne, I sometimes wonder if I should have chosen a pathway like teaching. I really, really enjoy tutoring as I love helping others in an academic environment and am really passionate about the subjects that I teach.

I have tutored students from Year 9 to Year 12, but am available to tutor all students from Year 7 to Year 12.

Experience

Over the past 10 years I've tutored a total of 60+ different students in either Maths
Methods, Further Maths or Physics. Although all these students have varied in year level and
academic ability I have been told that I have been of significant help and value to them.

I have written Further Mathematics Exams for Engage Education Foundation, who are a
major provider of Units 3, 4 VCE Practice Exams across all subjects and run large scale
exam preparation lectures and tutorials.

I previously worked at Edrolo as apart of the Math team, creating content for their online platform and textbooks. Edrolo are a major provider of education resources and are used by over 90% of high schools in Victoria.

Qualifications

I was a high achiever throughout high school and this continued throughout my VCE
years. I achieved raw scores of 42 in Physics, 46 in Maths Methods, and 50 in Further
Maths, and these study scores scaled to 44.24, 50.63 and 50.00 respectively.

I have a double bachelors degree that I completed at Swinburne University on full academic scholarship (Bachelor of Aviation/Bachelor of Business).

I am currently studying a Masters Degree at The University of Melbourne in Electrical & Electronic Engineering.

I have a current Working with Children's Check.
