I am a local resident of Rockhampton living at Alton Downs. I have over 40 years experience in Secondary teaching in English, English Literature, Modern History and French. I am also a published author of children's picture books. I am also a teacher librarian and assist students with research and study skills and visual literacy.

I have taught and tutored students from Years 7-12 in these subjects and tutored adults in Creative Writing and Publishing as well as French.

I have continued my professional development to maintain registration with Queensland College of Teachers and by doing supply/relief teaching in local schools I have remained in touch with current teaching practices and pedagogy.

I enjoy working with students on a one to one basis assisting them to improve literacy levels, develop language skills and instil a love of literature. I have tutored students in NAPLAN preparation.

I am happy to work with student classroom materials and texts.

I am passionate about teaching and learning and enjoy helping students reach their full potential as confident learners.

Tutoring sessions are of one hour minimum. I can provide worksheets and support materials.

Rates

Minimum hourly rate is $65 but if students have to travel to me for private tuition, the rate is $60
