Hi, I am Evangeline and I graduated from Mac.Robertson Girls' High School in 2015 with an ATAR score of 99.65. I am a passionate, committed, articulate and outgoing educator, tutoring English, English Language (45), Literature (43), Psychology (49) and Legal Studies (46). I am currently studying a Bachelor of Law and Arts at Monash University.
I am tutoring:
-English at Primary-Year 9 level
-English Language, Literature, Psychology and Legal Studies at VCE level
During the summer holidays, my available times are 10 am - 4 pm weekdays. My weekly term timetable is yet to be confirmed; however my weekends are all free and negotiable. Please email me at evabc04@gmail.com if you have any questions!
I have experience tutoring students ranging from primary through to VCE level. While completing VCE in 2015 I tutored students in Psychology and Legal Studies. I have received positive feedback from students who reported that they felt more confident with their subject material and achieved better SAC scores.
During my gap year in 2016, I have been working full-time as a teaching assistant, privately tutoring an EAL student (Grade 4) and serving as learning support to a Grade 6 English class, helping with class-work and concentrating on the areas of poetry, reading comprehension, creative writing and grammar. I cater to your unique learning style and employ learning tools and aides that personally helped me get through the most challenging phases of high school learning. I structure my VCE classes around my own set of notes centred around the current study design, including specialised tips based on my old SACs and revision notes. By focusing my lessons around past-exam questions, I keep the students engaged and develop their skills at writing clear and comprehensive answers.
For EAL/ESL classes, I personalise lessons to cater to the student's individual needs, using essay prompts and creative writing tasks to develop their grammar and writing skills.
As a tutor I aim to provide unique, creative classes that hone the student's strengths, work on their weaknesses, and ultimately give them the confidence to achieve their personal best.
