Experience

I have over fifteen years’ experience coaching, tutoring, and teaching students across primary, secondary, tertiary, and ESL contexts. I began coaching gymnastics and circus skills as a teenager and later tutored school students privately in the Australian and International Baccalaureate curriculums. I have taught instrumental music and band programs in private schools on the Gold Coast and worked with a tutoring company supporting students from diverse educational and cultural backgrounds.

To further develop my language teaching skills, I completed the University of Cambridge ESOL CELTA at International House London and worked as a private English teacher for families in Germany and Russia. I later completed a Graduate Diploma in Education and worked at a language college on the Gold Coast, progressing from English teacher to Director of Studies. I am currently completing a PhD in linguistics while continuing to work in education. My broad background allows me to tailor lessons to individual students, using clear, practical, and creative approaches to support confidence, understanding, and long-term learning.
