Elijah Im is an extremely positive, steadfast and fundamentally sound chemistry tutor. I had the pleasure of being his student during Grade 12 in 2023 where I achieved an overall percentage of 90% throughout the year. He is always punctual and teaches with enthusiasm, making lessons with him enjoyable and never dull. With his expansive amount of chemistry-related knowledge, he even creates customised worksheets and questionnaires for his pupils to test their understanding. The effort he puts into each of his lessons is outstanding; a substantial part of the reason I excelled in chemistry during my final year of schooling was due to the meticulously prepared content he would curate to help tighten my grasp of the subject. One such example of this is that he would regularly create and print organic chemistry pathways and quizzes himself to test me week in, week out. Additionally, he would even bring Molymod kits with him to class, which introduced a practical and physical aspect to his education on top of the theory. These would keep me consistently engaged and maintain a degree of interactive learning. He ensured that I always remained disciplined by making me constantly memorise important subject matter. It is his unwavering, sincere commitment to tutoring that ultimately propelled me to achieve such good results in chemistry. For this reason, he is one of the best tutors – if not the best tutor – I have had the experience of working with. |

I came to Elijah when I was struggling very hard in chemistry during grade 12. I couldn’t understand
anything during chemistry class, and I was extremely behind on content. he has helped simplify
many concepts in chemistry for me and helped me understand many difficult chemistry topics. every
lesson he creates and provides his own material which not only summarise previous lessons’ content
but also covers new and unfamiliar chemistry content as well as potential tricky questions which
may show up on the chemistry external exams. on top of this, Elijah also provided useful insight and
guidance on high school chemistry assignments. as a result, I have achieved a 95/100 overall in
chemistry. |
