Ive had group sessions with Hiru in Year 12 Biology. Ive found his experience having previously completed the subject to be very helpful, with him sharing many skills he had learned while studying Biology, as well as improvements on his previous study techniques. The sessions have particularly helped me in my approach of exam and SAC-style questions, being conscious of time and being able to break down questions with ease. A highlight of the sessions is how interactive everything feels, with Hiru asking every student questions on the content being covered, and ensuring everyone understands the content by explaining further. A huge benefit of the Holiday sessions with Hiru is the advantage gained time-wise, with over half of the entire years content being covered in the break. Overall, the experience I have had has been very positive, with Hiru showing experience, teaching useful skills, and being able to push me to achieve highly. |

I’ve been working with Hiru for tutoring in biology unit 3/4 as someone going into year eleven in 2026.
I want to name just one thing about Hiru that is the “most helpful” but I simply cant place into words what a wonderful teacher he is; from kindness and patience, to being resourceful and having very strong sessions.
Not only have I’ve improved in the area of study I’ve also improved in staying consistent and being more confident in myself in studying.
One particularly profound aspect of Hiru is that I’ve always struggled with tutors that can’t seem to fully understand me or my academic needs, but I’ve never needed to doubt Hiru’s ability help me learn.
Overall, I would describe the experience very enlightening, effective, and enjoyable. |
