Thís review for Tutor Anne is from a parent. I had 2 children who had received tutoring from Anne for 2U Japanese & Japanese Extension 1. They completed their HSC in 2019 and 2022 and both got the highest bands for their HSC results. I found Tutor Anne to be very experienced, knowledgeable, well organised with lessons planned and always punctual. Both my children have really enjoyed the lessons with Anne. One of them is near the end of their teaching degree at Uni to become a Japanese Teacher (Secondary). Thank you Anne. |

I received tutoring from Ms Anne in order to improve my Japanese skills as I was undertaking the Japanese Continuers and Japanese Extension HSC courses. I ended up achieving the highest performance bands for both courses as a result of her support. She provided a range of activities to train a variety of relevant skills such as listening, speaking and writing. The learning materials were not always exciting, but they were well selected and useful for my learning. She also helped prepare me for the style of questions that would be asked in the HSC, as well as provided exam strategies to use in order to excel. Doing exam-style timed exercises and receiving feedback helped to improve my spontaneous speaking skills a lot. Ms Anne is very easy to work with and I would recommend attending her lessons if you're looking to improve your Japanese skills. |

Ms Anne is incredibly helpful and patient, she explains difficult and new concepts in a way that is easy to understand. Also, Ms Anne is really funny! I highly recommend her as a tutor because she understands my learning pace and we have a great time in our lessons together. |

Ms Anne Huang Has been an exceptional and very fun teacher to learn japanese from! She makes japanese easy to understand and gives clear understanding of how certain japanese grammar is structured as! I highly recommend her if you want to study japanese!! |

Anne is a very knowledgeable and patient teacher who take lead you systematically and gradually to not only speak Mandarin with the correct intonation but to also read the Hanzi. She is friendly and her lessons are well structured and organised. I would highly recommend Anne as a teacher. |

I've been learning Mandarin Chinese from Ms Anne Huang since December 2021, and she has drastically helped me. I have an hour-long lesson once every week, and supplement my learning by doing flashcards every day. Starting off, I was at a barely conversational level, and now I am able to comfortably read, write and converse in Mandarin.
She is a very flexible, detail-oriented, and thorough teacher. She will ensure that your fundamentals are correct before everything else.
Starting off, she spends some time establishing the base of where you are, what you are comfortable with, and crafts lessons based on that and your personal goals. As I supplemented my learning with her by practicing my vocabulary and writing outside of lessons, my time with her is focused on reading, crafting sentences with new vocabulary, and grammar. Homework is assigned based on if you would like to have some or not, and her marking is very thorough.
My lessons are spent in a language immersion environment, where exclusively Mandarin Chinese is used throughout. In addition to learning, we talk about everything from how work was, to world events, using Mandarin. I greatly value having someone I can comfortably speak to in Mandarin, and this has helped me be more naturally conversational when speaking to others in Mandarin.
Outside of lessons, she is also always open to answering questions promptly and meticulously.
I have already recommended her to all of my friends who I've spoken to and are interested in learning Mandarin, Cantonese or Japanese. She is a great teacher, and I'm extremely grateful to be her student! |

I was lucky enough to have a chance to study under Ann for Japanese and mandarin, and I would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone and everyone who wishes to make serious progress in their chosen language. Ann is an extraordinarily experienced teacher with an incredible breadth of knowledge and understanding. the lessons have been excellent, interesting and challenging, coupled with out-of-class support that goes above and beyond. Highly recommended. |
