James was a real find for us as he taught me Mandarin but was also able to teach my partner Cantonese
in one visit. My partner and I have very busy and unpredictable work schedules,James is very
accommodating to this and always allows us to reschedule classes with short notices. On top of these
obvious benefits James is also a very patient and enthusiastic teacher. He really enjoys teaching and get
a lot of joy out of his students progress. |

When I first started learning mandarin, initially I was stressed and frustrated as I had no connection with the language. There was nothing I could latch on to as everything was totally alien to me. After the first lesson I thought I'd never learn it! But, with reviewing the work at home and giving myself some time to think about it, I found the lesson quickly became easier. James would wait for me to respond to his questions and would then correct my pronunciation and make sure I got the pronunciation correct before moving on. It was obvious that James was very positive whenever I got something correct and would also be patient and understanding when errors were made. |

I am having ongoing Cantonese conversation lessons with James, he is assisting me in my preparation for
the NAATI interpreting exam. James has an instinct for one-on-one tutoring and obviously enjoys his work.
I feel very lucky to have found such a natural who is full of encouragement and I feel much more confident
speaking Cantonese as a result. |

I think James have an excellent aptitude for teaching. He has the passion to teach Chinese that makes the lessons interesting. His teaching techniques are commendable. That is, he goes out of his way, to call his students to create conversation in Cantonese. By doing this, the students are challenged and will facilitate quicker learning. James also gives genuine time (off lessons) to his students so you're able to ask him questions and/or feedback.
I do not have reservations to recommend James as a Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese) language tutor. It is a pleasure to have known and worked with James. |

Absolutely great! Have only had one lesson so far but have booked in an hour and a half every
saturday from now on and cant wait to learn more - he is fun, easy going, professional and most of all

James is very polite and is a great teacher, he makes you feel comfortable and at ease with new topics and lessons.
James has been very flexible in terms of my lessons when he can, I travel alot for work and he understands this and is willing to send me extra work if I miss a lesson.
I find his work ethic both professional and supportive. Learning a new language can require alot of confidence and James encourages this in his students in a positive environment. |

Have enjoyed the one on one tuition.
First thing we do each lesson is revise previous before moving to new subject which is good as I do not have another Chinese person to practice with.
As I am an older person tackling a foriegn language for the first time I am satisfied with my progress.
The only reason that I mark communication down one level is that some times I do not understand the same word being used in different context, but we always pick this up as we go forward.
I would recommend Mr. Tsui as a aptient curteous and thorough teacher. |

James has been extremely good. He is very well organised and is extremely patient. James also
speaks good english which I find makes it a lot easier to learn as I fully understand what he is
communicating.
Very good teacher - I would recommend him very highly.
