I highly recommend Alan as an English tutor for your VCE English studies. I started tutoring lessons with him from Year 8 up until the end of Year 12 and with his lessons and feedback, I was able to attain a study score of 48 for English this year. He thoroughly builds your knowledge for each of the sections on the exam and provides in-depth, constructive feedback that pushes your writing to the next level. With his tutoring, I was able to become much more confident in the subject and go into the final exam with a lot of assurance. |

Mr Mountain was instrumental in my VCE English journey. My writing at the end of year 11 used to lack connections to topic and authorial intent. However, Mr Mountain patiently helped me improve, sparking a Renaissance in my writing style, and I eventually became the top ranked student of my school in English.
What sets Mr Mountain apart is his in-depth feedback and instinct on what constitutes a well or poorly written essay, an instinct cultivated over his years of experience teaching and assessing. Even when students perform at the top level, he always finds a way to improve their work, making him truly a teacher for all levels of students. |

I found Alan on tutor finder a month before my VCE EXAMS. He was extremely helpful. His feedback was precise and gives you amazing advice on how to elevate an essay. If you aiming for a 40+ he is the man. |

Alan is an exceptional tutor with a genuine passion for helping his students achieve their best academically. My confidence in English improved dramatically thanks to his guidance. His feedback, structured lessons, and consistent encouragement helped me grow more than I ever expected and achieve results I didn’t think were possible. He is highly knowledgeable and knows every VCE text inside out. He explains concepts clearly and always goes the extra mile for his students.
